O manuscrito de Benediktbeuern foi trasladado en 1803 para a Bayerische Staatsbibliothek de Múnic, onde hoxe se custodia coa sinatura CLM 4660. Trátase dun códice en pergamiño, que consta actualmente de 112 folios e que foi copiado por dous amanuenses principais en letra gótica minúscula ao redor do ano 1230.
