Airtec Golf R MK7 Front Mount Intercooler Upgrade

AIRTEC are proud to introduce the front mount intercooler upgrade for the Golf R.

Designed to fit all models, this freer-flowing intercooler is a direct replacement for the smaller and more restrictive OEM set up.

Featuring a 60mm core design together with high-flow cast end tanks and lower alloy scoop to force air directly to the core, the AIRTEC intercooler offers much greater surface area, efficiency and volume over standard. Despite this improvement, it fits neatly behind the original bumper, requires no trimming or cutting and can be used with the original hoses.

As with all AIRTEC products, the intercooler was tested back-to-back on the dyno aginist the OEM item. This showed a huge reduction in air charge temperatures over standard.

Stock intercooler temps reduce to an average of 64 degrees and peak at 68 degrees (after 5 back-to-back runs).

With the AIRTEC intercooler fitted,

huge drop of 120 degrees with AIRTEC intercooler fitted.

Test car fitted with Cobra cat back exhaust & Revo Stage 1 remap.

A peak power increase of 40 BHP due to the standard VW intercooler being inefficient to cope with the extra heat generated for remapped cars and only designed to the standard 300 bhp,=.

With the AIRTEC intercooler fitted this brings the intake temperatures down so much to give a huge increase in performance.

Test results taken @ AMD Rolling road(Tested on our own demo car, fitted with Cobra cat back). Before Intercooler was fitted the car made only 336.1bhp & 350.9 lbs/ft After Intercooler was fitted it made a very impressive 371.8 bhp & 352.9 lbs/ft torque just by adding the Airtec cooler.Test car fitted with Cobra cat back exhaust & Revo Stage 1 remap.

The comprehensive fitting kit includes all the correct fixtures and fittings, step-by-step instructions with pictures and should take around 3-4 hours to complete.

The intercooler is available in a choice of of either Natural Silver or Pro-Series Black finishes, with or without the AIRTEC logo.

products may seem simple to fit we do always advice that you have them

installed by a qualified fitter and wait to receive the item before making

arrangements for the fitting of the item. We also advice that you contact your

insurance company to ensure the modifications you are planning to make to the

vehicle does not void your policy. We can not be held accountable if you are

not a qualified fitter and you damage the item in any way, if you have booked

the fitting before receiving the item or if you do not inform your insurance
