The Master's Apprentices
Description:
<This is the 26th album in the "60's Garage Disc Guide" reissue series supervised by Jimmy Masuko and presented by All Days Records. Needless to say, there were many exciting garage bands in Australia in the 1960s. As a member of the British Commonwealth, UK bands frequented the country, and R&B punk was directly influenced by British beats. Among the most famous were the ultra-wild The Missing Links. The Easybeats, The Bee Gees, The Twilights, and The Loved Ones were also popular in the UK at the time, but The Masters Apprentice was the most popular. The band moved from solid R&B punk to original material, but just when it was about to get going, band leader/songwriter Mick Bower had a nervous breakdown and left the band. Vocalist Jim Keyes and Doug Ford (ex-Missing Links) rebuilt the band and continued until 1972. 1971 UK album "Master's Apprentices (Masters Choice)" is very popular among hard/prog fans. It is very popular among hard/progressive rock fans. But it is this first album, with Bower leading the band, that should be heard by garage fans first.
