Bowl 2023/52Bowl turned by Kalia Kliban, from a Burbank Chestnut bred by Luther Burbank himself. The tree was transplanted from the Gold Ridge Farm to the Santa Rosa site when the Santa Rosa Avenue Gate was installed in the 1930s. We were forced to remove the tree in 2022 because of a fungus infection that destroyed the roots. We found local artisans who could turn the wood into useful and artistic keepsakes of Luther's work.
