Such a stunning piece! This double breasted jacket is comprised of a beautiful medium-weight handwoven silk outer and is fully lined. The variation in fibre width and colour gives the fabric a natural and textured look and feel. Mid-length and semi-fitted with some light shaping through princess lines and a structured shoulder with shoulder pads. Note that the welt pockets are decorative only. In good vintage condition with no marks or tears. Some fibres 'bulge' or skip stitches in areas (as seen in close up images), but this appears to be a characteristic of the handwoven textile. Marked as made in Australia.
