Ikuyo Nakamichi's first new recording in four years is Debussy's representative piano pieces "Preludes, Vol. 1" and "Images," which played a part in various revolutions in musical art in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. For Ikuyo Nakamichi, this is her first return to Debussy in 24 years, counting from "Arabesque - Debussy Solo Piano Works" in 1997. The "Images" section of the concert will be performed on October 25, 2020, at the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan, and will be the first time in 24 years that Ikuyo Nakamichi has returned to Debussy's music. This is a live recording made on the occasion of the "Nakamichi Road to 2027 Ikuyo Nakamichi Piano Recital: What Debussy Saw" at Tokyo Bunka Kaikan on October 25, 2020. This is the first live recording in this series, which has attracted attention for its ambitious selection of pieces that Ikuyo Nakamichi considers to be the most important in her career.
