About the self-regulation class lesson:
This fun, low-prep, classroom counseling lesson will keep students engaged and give them a new language they can use to describe their emotions, levels of energy, and feelings. Students will learn to associate each emotion with a color and temperature and a corresponding self-regulation coping strategy.
The best part? I have taken care of all of the planning and prep for you! This classroom counseling lesson is aligned with ASCA and CASEL standards, and it includes a detailed counselor script, outline, suggested answers, and extension activities.
By the end of this lesson, students will be able to identify which self-regulation coping strategy would serve them best in a wide variety of situations. Additionally, students will have a common language they can use to describe their feelings and emotions.

Ready to Regulate is a complete 8-week self-regulation group that includes weekly outlines with objectives and ASCA Mindsets and Behaviors. This resource includes everything you need to run a successful small group including self-assessments to make data tracking easy.
Students will learn which feelings and actions are associated with each color and self-regulation strategies to help regulate their emotions. They will also learn how to identify the size of their problems, appropriate reactions, and how to solve them. Additionally, students will identify their support system, triggers, and the connection between their emotions and the physical body. Updated to also include a digital version!

About the self-regulation individual counseling curriculum:
This self-regulation curriculum is designed to be used with students in an individual setting. Through engaging activities, crafts, and games, students will learn the strategies and coping skills they need in order to reduce anxiety. Each session includes an outline that is set to ASCA Mindsets and Behavior Standards.
