This Hot Rod version of the 1949 Ford Mercury certainly makes a dramatic entrance into the Oxford American series. With yellow and red flames leaping up from the front of the bonnet and creeping along the wings, the colour scheme melts into the main black bodywork behind. The car also features the whitewall tyres of the period with bright red bands. Our two-door coupé is registered in Indiana - 49 as 800-581 and comes with mid brown interior seating and a black steering wheel. You may have seen it as part of a 3-piece Mercury set previously and here it is again, as a single, by popular demand! In real life, the Mercury was part of the Ford Motor Company.
