The Stone Roses
Description:
Formed in Manchester, U.K. in 1985, the band released their debut album "The Stone Roses" in 1989 on Zomba's Silver Tone label. The band's sound was linked to the raves that were booming at the time, and their popularity exploded in their native England, as well as in Europe and Japan. The band had a major influence on subsequent bands, and became a central figure in the Manchester movement. After a long period of silence, the band moved to a new record company, Gaffin, in 1994 and released their second album, "Second Coming," which was followed by another long period of silence. After another long silence, the band reunited in 2012. This album features songs and singles from their first album released on the Silver Tone label, as well as singles from before their major label debut and songs from their second album released on Gefin. This album was released in 2002, and is now available in analog and 180-weight vinyl.
