Description:
RIVERSIDE, a pioneer in Polish progressive rock = RIVERSIDE's long-awaited new album "ID.Entity", the first new album in four years.RIVERSIDE is a progressive rock band based in Warsaw, Poland. The band released "Wasteland" in 2018 after overcoming the death of guitarist Piotr Grudzinski and announcing that they would continue their activities. The band's eighth album, "ID. Entity" expands their typical worldview, but with a more dynamic and confident sound. The band's sound is still the same, blending genres such as art rock, progressive rock, progressive metal, and post-metal, and incorporating a unique ambient feel.Entity" is the first album recorded with the new lineup, which includes guitarist Maciej Meller, who became an official member in 2020. Maciej's emotional melodies fit perfectly with the band's style on the beautifully evocative (5) "The Place Where I Belong" and the flowing (4) "Post-Truth". The music video for (6) "I'm Done With You" was released prior to the release of this album. The video sublimates the song's theme of anger and disappointment as we live in an age of conspiracy theories, hatred, mass pandering, greed-driven nations and corporations, and the destruction of the earth and human nature, into a video that features Thomas Hicks (PAUL MCCARTNEY & WINGS, NEWTON FAULKNER, PAIN OF SALVATION, PURE REASON REVOLUTION). Is it possible to survive without concern for the social changes that are occurring at an accelerating pace? The band preaches that to get through difficult times, we need self-awareness, empathy, community, support, and the wisdom to distance ourselves from the entities that threaten and divide our lives, and (7) "Self-Aware" calls for unity, spelling out "The future is in our hands" ("The future is in our hands"). (The future is in our hands)" and calls for unity. The artwork for this album was drawn by Polish artist Jarek Kubicki. The album was recorded and mixed at The Boogie Town Studio in Otfodsk and Serakos studio in Warsaw, mastered by Robert Szydlo, and produced by band leader Mariusz Duda. Entity" is a new beginning for the third stage of RIVERSIDE's career, as they bid farewell to "a decade of sorrow and depression". The analog version will include two bonus tracks ("Age of Anger" and "Together Again") in addition to the standard CD version (7 tracks).<RIVERSIDE>Mariusz Duda - vocals, basses, electric and acoustic guitarsPiotr Kozieradzki - drumsMichal Lapaj - keyboards and synthesizers, Rhodes piano and Hammond organMaciej Meller - electric guitars
