The ensemble "Third Coast Percussion" proved that "minimal music," which sprouted in the late 1900s, has not grown old in the 21st century by performing various works by Steve Reich in their previous album. Inspired by American author Holling C. Holling's famous book "Paddle to the Sea (the story of an Indian boy's journey from Canada to the Great Lakes and Atlantic Ocean in a homemade canoe)," this album is a collection of water-inspired songs. In addition to their own compositions, you will hear "water works" that make full use of the marimba's characteristics, such as Philip Glass' ballet piece "Aguas da Amazonia," Druckmann's "Reflections on the Nature of Wate," and folklore pieces.
