Satiereal is a novel extract of saffron stigma that was tested in a randomized, placebo controlled study to determine whether it could combat snacking and enhance satiety in a group of otherwise healthy, mildly overweight women. At the beginning of the study, all participants matched each other closely in terms of age, body weight and reported snacking habits. This double blind study evaluated satiereals effect on body weight changes over an eight week period, and the results were very encouraging.
