The Strokes' key figure, Nick Valensi, leads his first side project, CRX, which makes its debut! As the guitarist of The Strokes, Nick Valensi has been the key to the band's uniqueness for more than 15 years since their debut in 2001. He is the only guitarist in the band who has never had a solo or side project, and has now launched his own band, CRX. ＜CRX is a five-piece band featuring Nick on lead guitar and vocals, Ralph Alexander on drums, John Safley on bass, Darian Zahedi on guitar, and Richie James Follin, who also plays in Guards and Willowz, on keyboards. The band announced their formation on social media on August 1, 2016, and at their debut show about two weeks later, the U.S. media praised their "strong, melodic garage rock" sound, reminiscent of The Strokes.Produced by Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age/Eagles of Death Metal/Zem Crooked Vultures, etc.), who is also a friend of Nick's, the band's sound is given added depth and depth by the addition of backing vocals. In addition to The Strokes, the band has also been featured as a backing vocalist. When asked by a fan on social media how he feels about starting from scratch with his new band, CRX, in addition to The Strokes, Nick Valensi replied, "It's a lot of fun and very exciting! I feel like a kid again," he said enthusiastically.
