When you turn on your headlights in your Neon or PT Cruiser, the power that goes to the headlight bulbs is channeled through the turn signal/headlight switch.

Those high currents have a tendency to make the plastic connector that attaches to the multi function switch get brittle over time, and it will disintegrate. If not fixed, the melted multi function switch could actually create a fire hazard. Some Neon/PT owners have seen smoke after driving with their headlights with failing multi function switch wiring. 

There are two proper ways to fix this issue. 1) Get a new multi function switch wiring from us (this item) and install it. 2) Then get a headlight relay/wiring kit from us that will channel power directly from the battery to the headlights instead of relaying high current through the multi function switch.
