(Original release: 1976/Capitol Records)This is the first album by the four-piece formed in Massachusetts in 1973 and led by John Pawset Dart (g, vo). Recorded at Quadraphonic Studios, Nashville ("Blue River," "Harvest," etc.), produced by master Norbert Putnam. Based on a soft country-rock style featuring pedal stel and mandolin, the band's sound is sophisticated and typical of eastern bands, with a hint of soul and Latin. Backing the band are Kenneth Batley (ds), known as a member of Area Code 615 as well as Putnam, David Briggs (key), and others. Bassist John Troy later played in the John Hall Band.
