Us Patent No. 2559 Crossbow by Hl Bailey (195) H.L. Bailey's 1953 filing renders the crossbow as a thing of triggers and tension — prod, stock, and release mechanism drawn with the patience of a man who understood that accuracy lives in the geometry between the nut and the nocking point. The schematic belongs to a quieter chapter of American archery, when target shooters and field hunters were still arguing whether the bow needed a thumb safety at all.
