Extent is a fatty, musky, vetiver perfume.

A blast of innervated aniseed precedes sultry notes of hyraceum, a natural fossilized animal musk, paired with real orris butter and violet pastille. Dense Haitian vetiver dominates the drydown, displaying shades of this revered material's nutty, papery, and grassy characteristics across a waxy musk plateau.

Extent is a reworking of 33, considered a benchmark vetiver perfume throughout the fragrance community. For those up to the challenge, it layers dynamically with Caji, submerging or revealing different shades of the floral and musk notes of each other. A complicated puzzle.

Due to its composition of 89% natural materials, it is my belief this perfume will mature gracefully over time, darkening and deepening, providing gratification for collectors who prefer vintage styles and time's slow hand.

Extent is the third in a project of four works on color.
