The 221B Tactical Vanquish First Responder Tool Knife is a purpose-built EDC rescue tool combining a 420HC stainless steel spring-assist blade, a razor seatbelt cutter, and a carbide window punch in a single package priced at $49. Selected personally by 221B Tactical founder and 13-year police veteran Officer Suresh Madhavan, the Vanquish is designed to handle the three core tasks first responders face at a vehicle incident: cutting a seatbelt, breaking glass, and defending if needed.
The blade is machined from Grade 420HC stainless steel, a high-carbon variant of the 420 series that holds an edge longer than standard 420 and resists corrosion in wet or high-humidity environments. Spring-assist opening deploys the blade quickly with one hand, and the ultra-strong frame is built to take the abuse of field use rather than controlled range conditions.
The handle uses a counter-balanced design to shift the weight distribution toward the rear of the grip, which reduces fatigue and gives the user more precise control during extended use or high-stress situations. The ergonomic grip profile is contoured to fit naturally in the hand, and the handle material is textured to resist slipping when wet.
The carbide window punch concentrates force into a hardened tip small enough to shatter tempered automotive glass with a single strike. Carbide is significantly harder than the glass it is intended to break, so the tip retains its geometry through repeated use without dulling. The integrated razor seatbelt cutter sits recessed in the handle, protecting the blade from accidental contact and keeping it sharp for the moment it is needed. Both features operate independently of the main blade, so the tool remains functional even if the knife portion is deployed.
221B Tactical backs the Vanquish against manufacturer defects for the life of the tool. Free blade sharpening is available for as long as you own the tool — contact 221B Tactical directly to arrange service (shipping and handling charges apply). Tools may arrive with factory-applied oil or lubricant, which aids in operation; wipe down before use if preferred.
The Vanquish is a standalone EDC tool and does not require a parent system. It carries independently on a belt, in a pocket, or in a bag. It is designed to complement any first-responder kit as a dedicated vehicle-rescue and self-defense option.
It depends on the carry method you prefer. The tool is sized for pocket carry or standard EDC pouch attachment. Contact us if you have questions about specific carry configurations.
The razor seatbelt cutter sits recessed in the handle — hook the belt and pull to cut cleanly in one motion. The carbide window punch strikes tempered automotive glass at a corner or edge with a firm push or strike to shatter it. Both features work independently of the main spring-assist blade.
It depends on your local laws. Spring-assisted knives are subject to varying state, county, and municipal regulations. Verify your local ordinances before carrying. Note that spring-assisted knives are prohibited from importation into Australia under current government regulations.
The Vanquish is covered for life against manufacturer defects. Free blade sharpening is available for as long as you own the tool — just cover shipping and handling. Contact us to arrange a sharpening return.
Yes. The blade may arrive with factory-applied oil or lubricant, which is normal and aids operation. Wipe it down before use if you prefer a dry grip. The tool is otherwise ready to deploy out of the box.
