Lorenzo Nardocci Trio
Description:
Italian pianist Lorenzo Nardocci (1974-) has lived in Norway since 1999, working as a freelance pianist, organist, and piano teacher. He began his career as a composer at the age of 45, after graduating from the Norwegian National College of Music. He has worked with many different types of musicians and is known for his freewheeling style, mixing Scandinavian jazz and improvisational influences with a traditional Italian melodic sense and Latin and soul "grooves. Secondo Me" is Narducci's second album. It consists of six songs and three "improvisations" inspired by what he developed during a year of playing together with bassist Andreas Dreier and drummer Terje Evensen. The common theme is "various moments of daily life and important people in our lives. He says the album's essence is captured in the title of the first song, "Secondo Me" (What I Think), a "light, sunny melody on a sweet samba" that evokes a busy jazz musician "going from gig to gig" at the most beautiful time of the year. The "fast tempo" ballad "Dicembre" (December) evokes the image of a busy jazz musician "going from gig to gig" at the most beautiful time of the year. Al Quinto Piano" (on the fifth floor) with a rehearsal room at the music academy in Oslo. The love song 《Birozza》(Birozza), written "with my dear wife in my heart." Rubato" was inspired by the Langfuss church in Narducci's home town. B.M.W." depicts children who never sit still, and was recorded at Rainbow Studios in Oslo in June 2021.
