The Negroamaro del Salento PGI "Cosimo Varvaglione Collezione Privata" from the Varvaglione 1921 winery is a sumptuous and elegant red. The fermentation takes place in steel and the subsequent maturation of 6 months in small French and American oak barrels, and then the slow refinement in the bottle continues. A great red that illustrates the potential of one of the region's iconic varieties.
