Description: Agave macroacantha is a neat, medium-sized agave producing a compact rosette of narrow, blue-grey leaves tipped with a long, striking black spine — one of the most dramatic terminal spines of any agave. The blue-toned foliage contrasts beautifully with the dark spine, making this an excellent ornamental specimen for a sunny gravel garden or container. It is relatively compact and well-proportioned, making it suitable for smaller spaces.
