This is the fourth album on the Christon label by The Flute Quartet, a group of top Japanese flute players. The highlight of this album is "Fantastic Monet" by Mari Miura, the composer of "Memories are Silver Flutes," which was included in the previous album "Silver Flutes. This is a group of pieces inspired by Monet's famous paintings, and is a richly varied suite with different characters. Other pieces include classical masterpieces such as Debussy and Glinka, arranged by Hiroaki Kanda, as well as popular flute tunes. (C)RS
