Underfoot first

The Darbar series carries court-style ornamental density — fuller corner devices, more elaborate border passes, a richer overall visual coverage than the plain Gray & Gold standard. Underfoot the cotton hand is the same brushed-soft, dense-springy register as the rest of the line. The light-gray ground stays luminous against the gold accent; raised pattern relief lifts the medallion in low-angle light. The room reads decorative-formal without crossing into ornate.

Designer pairing

Drawing-room formal, transitional version. Sits well on mid-oak, mid-walnut, and pale-walnut floors. Upholstery: cream linen for continuity, dusty-rose velvet for a soft-romantic read, charcoal velvet for tonal contrast, or a single forest-green accent chair for a more layered traditional interior.
