A late Georgian rosewood tea cady, c.1820, with a shaped lid and beaded edge mouldings to both the top and base. Raised on compressed bun feet with original side handles. The interior is fitted with a lidded compartments for loose leaf tea and a central bowl, likely intended for holding a third variety of tea or for blending small quantities to taste. The key is absent, but the lock and escutcheon remain intact.

Exterially in good condition, the rosewood having developed a lovely aged patina.
