This whip has an antler or staghorn handle.
There would have been a silver button on the heel of the staghorn but this has been lost.
It has two silver collars, these are hallmarked London , the date stamps are rubbed but correspond to the 1930s and both are stamped with the silversmith's mark "ESA".

Between the collars the whip has been re-covered in dark brown leather.
The rest of the shaft or stock is covered in brown braided thread.
The whip has a replacement stitched keeper in bridle leather and a braided leather thong with a blue cord lash.
