Dosage

• For extemporaneous use only
• Common dosage range: 500 - 3 g daily; can be taken with or without food
• It is advisable to begin supplementation at the low end of the dose range, increasing if required

Warnings

• Taurine may alter the metabolism of Lithium medications (adjust doses accordingly)
• Taurine has not been extensively tested for its effects during pregnancy.
• Avoid use during pregnancy or lactation, unless confident that its impact can be reasonably deemed to be safe or beneficial
• Practitioners should conduct ongoing research and take care to follow their practitioner association guidelines for appropriate administration of compounding ingredients
• Dietary supplements should not replace a balanced diet
