Here is a guitar that was just built by talented Luthier and NYC native Dean Gordon. This Mirus model features Deans signature high-grade Aircraft aluminum lower bout, which doubles as the perfect cutaway. Playing past the 12th fret and beyond has never been easier. This particular instrument is inanely resonant and loud unplugged which is always a great sign of how the guitar will respond through an amplifier. This instrument also has a ton of spank and a quick attack, not typically associated with an all Mahogany body and neck guitar. 

The word Mirus in itself embodies this design perfectly, as it's adjectives are wonderful, strange, remarkable, amazing, surprising and extraordinary. This guitar is certainly all of those things and more. This Mirus in particular features a magnificently carved back with a 6 screw bolt on neck. You won't be getting any play or unwanted movement from this guitars neck joint. The bridge is also a great piece of engineering by Schaller called the Hannes Bridge. 
This is what Schaller says about this bridge: 

"Our Schaller Hannes® bridge can be fitted to any guitar, provided that the body is flat at the point where the bridge is to be placed. The pickups can be earthed via the string anchor plate if necessary.
The saddles were developed in close collaboration with Graph Tech. They are made of a special compound material. Teflon is one of the materials used in this special compound. In being a highly effective lubricant material (one of the most effective in the world), it dramatically reduces saddle-related string breakage, since no sharp edges can form on the saddles due to wear.
This patented saddle material measurably increases the instrument's sustain by up to 25% compared to brass and steel. Your guitar will sound much more harmonious. This is characterized by singing high notes and quick response, not to mention a well-defined, powerful and even tone. The saddles have a large surface area resting on the guitar's body, and are separated from one another by the bridge's construction. This physical difference in the saddle, compared to all other available saddles on the market manifests itself in a significant increase in dynamic response that can be heard and felt."
This Mirus has two McNelly Autumn Humbuckers which are a med-low output set with awesome clarity. These pickups have a pronounced top-end and a soring, strong midrange with a nice bass response that never gets muddy. The pickup's covers are made of Mahogany, consistent with the rest of the guitars earthy, natural vibe. 

The entire guitar weighs in at only 6lbs 12.5oz. This is also the first Custom Mirus to wear Dean's new headstock and DG decal, in place of the older style DG emblem found on his less expensive line of guitars.
