 Tekno RC is thrilled to announce the release of the highly anticipated NB48 2.2 nitro buggy, the latest evolution in our line of 1/8th scale race vehicles. After over two years of rigorous testing and development on tracks across the world, this seventh revision of the NB48 series sets a new standard in competitive RC racing. Leveraging valuable feedback from team drivers and customers, the NB48 2.2 has already proven its potential by clinching the 2024 ROAR 1/8th Scale Fuel Off-Road Nationals and securing podium finishes in seven out of the past ten major US 1/8th scale events.

The NB48 2.2 delivers exceptional value to our customers. NB48 2.1 owners who have already installed the prior upgrades can add the new 2.2 parts for a low cost. New customers will also benefit as they can enjoy the performance upgrades straight out of the box. Key enhancements include the new flex-tuned split design 7075 CNC machined shock towers, which significantly improve traction and predictability, and the new 93.5mm rear universal drive shafts that boost stability and support. These components, along with several other cutting-edge features, ensure that the NB48 2.2 is a formidable contender at any track.

Other notable features of the NB48 2.2 include precision molded shock pistons and guides that minimize internal friction for better bump handling, and reduced ackermann spindle plates that provide smooth, predictable steering with enhanced mid-corner wheel support. The adjustable sway bar deadband bushings now allow the suspension to move more freely before engagement, improving bump handling and consistency. Additionally, the revised -2mm front/rear bulkheads and rear hubs work in tandem with the revised LRC spindles to offer a smoother, more refined driving experience.

Durability has been a key focus of Tekno RC and the development of the NB48 2.2 is no different. Revised shock standoffs with M4 screws and new Inner Hinge Pin Sleeves enhance the vehicle’s longevity, while the new race-tuned setup incorporates all the latest components for unparalleled performance.
