Historia Urologiae Europaeae series is addressed to all European urologists. Its aim is to make known the ideas and the work of our predecessors, and to help us understand the current trends in the development of our specialty.

The 16th volume of the series is an extensive collection of articles in both of its traditional sections: the History of Urology in European Countries, as well as Historical Tales of Urology. Here one can read about combat urology in the World War II at the Russian front, the management of patients with a urethral anomaly in the 18th century. The edition also examines the past, the present and the future of historical research in European urology.
