I dread the depths of winter, but I also very much love the feeling of being warm and cozy inside when the snow is falling and the wind is whipping--a feeling which these antique mitten stretchers immediately evoke for me. I've seen ones similar described as Shaker, and I've had a few true Shaker sweater stretches with a similar feel about them, but I don't know. Eexcellent shapes whatever the case, with great dry patina to the pine wood, and certainly these could still be used for drying mittens near the fire. Joined with an old cord, as found, easily removed if desired.

7 1/8" x 2 3/4" ea. Sold as pair, with old strong tie for hanging, as found. Good condition, with one lighter patch to the wood on one side of one of them.
