Are you tired of running out of pins when building complex Micro:bit projects? The DFRobot Micro:bit Driver Expansion Board solves this problem by using an IIC external drive chip. This smart design takes up only two IIC pins, leaving the rest of your Micro:bit free for other sensors and modules.
Whether you are building a multi-wheel rover, a robotic arm, or an automated smart home model, this board provides the exact power and control interface you need.
Drive your projects further with the onboard HR8833 motor driver. Delivering a maximum continuous operating current of 1.5A, it easily powers standard small motors and N20 mini metal motors.
We know that debugging hardware can be frustrating. That is why every motor port features positive and negative rotation indicators (LEDs). You can instantly visually verify the running direction of your motors, saving hours of troubleshooting.
Furthermore, the board integrates 9 Micro:bit onboard GPIOs using the DFRobot-Gravity standard interface. This means you can plug-and-play hundreds of compatible sensors and modules without messy breadboards or soldering.
Powering your robot shouldn't tie you to a wall outlet. This expansion board supports a 3.5V to 5.5V power supply via a DC 2.1 plug or a secure wiring terminal. We also include a USB to DC 2.1 adapter cable, allowing you to power your entire project using a standard, eco-friendly portable power bank.
