Model V017 is a versatile composite immersion style transducer with medium dampening. The microdot connector is not waterproof but has good water-resistant performance (non-water-soluble grease may improve performance in damp environments). The configuration exhibits excellent signal to noise ratios in a variety of conditions and with the longer case length it is a great option for inspection heads with deeper recessed configurations.  It is an excellent choice for automated tubular thickness units when the inspection is from the Outside Diameter and the inside diameter has coating especially on drill pipe and coated tubing.
