What it's like to use
Prepare surfaces by ensuring they are clean, dry, and free from contaminants. For optimal adhesion on extremely non-porous or powder-coated substrates, lightly abrade the surface and clean thoroughly with Adheseal IPA Cleaner. Then, wipe the area sparingly with Adheseal 50A Primer using a clean cloth. The primer dries very quickly; if it remains wet, it indicates over-application. Ensure the primer is fully dry before applying your sealant or adhesive. Clean tools and spills while wet with IPA cleaner or a suitable solvent.

- Not if: The contents have become milky. This indicates water absorption and contamination, rendering the primer ineffective.
- Not before dry: Exposing the primed surface to thermal, mechanical, or chemical influences before 50A Primer has completely dried.
Adheseal 50A vs. Adheseal 2001 Primer
Adheseal Primer 50A provides enhanced adhesion for sealants and adhesives on non-porous surfaces. For porous substrates like concrete, masonry, and fibrous cement, Adheseal Primer 2001 is recommended. To determine whether your substrate is porous, dispense a coin-sized puddle of water onto the surface; if it absorbs in under two minutes, the surface is porous. If the puddle remains, the surface is non-porous. Choose 50A for non-porous, and 2001 for porous.
