ABEC 5: A standard value used to measure the surface tolerance of rolling bearings. There are five classes: 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9. The higher the ABEC class, the greater the precision, efficiency, and speed capacity, but the highest ABEC classes are not necessarily the fastest rotating components. All quality manufacturers worldwide use at least ABEC 1 as standard. At Enduro, the minimum standard is ABEC 3. ABEC 5: Steel balls Grade 5: balls with sphericity with a precision of 5/1,000,000. This is military grade and therefore excellent for precision applications. ABEC 5 standard: this bearing must pass all tests; these include high-speed noise, very tight tolerances regarding accuracy of inner and outer diameter, perfect sphericity, trueness of the raceway, and the finish of both raceway and ball. These bearings are treated with a high-quality Teflon lubricant (Rheolube 374A). LLB: Our most popular seal, consisting of a rubber finish with a metal core. Unlike the standard 2RS, we go a bit further by machine-placing a recess in the inner ring, where the seal can rotate with excellent efficiency and resistance compared to a lesser bearing. Rather than a single "lip" of a thick seal that rubs against an uneven surface, the LLB type uses 2 razor-thin sealing lips that slide into a recess with light contact. The outer "lip" keeps water and impurities out, while the inner seal retains the grease for smooth rotation and long intervals between maintenance.
