Delicate, intricate and quietly romantic, Angelica Garla is a beautifully detailed Liberty design originally hand-drawn in the Liberty studio in 2007 using pen on paper. The print unfolds like a fantastical botanical garden, filled with finely illustrated blooms including marguerites, pansies, sunflowers and airy sprays of cow parsley. Trailing foliage winds between the flowers, while the meticulous linework gives the whole design a light, graceful movement across the cloth.

Printed on Liberty’s Bickington viscose satin, this fabric has a beautifully fluid drape with a soft satin sheen that catches the light as it moves. With more body than a lightweight voile and a smooth, silk-like surface, it offers the elegance of silk satin at a more accessible price point. The weight allows it to skim the figure while still flowing effortlessly.

This fabric is ideal for elegant dressmaking projects - think softly draped blouses, bias-cut skirts, fluid dresses or a sophisticated shirt dress.
