This is a Mexican revenue stamp issued in 1908 with a face value of 50 centavos. Printed in green, the design features large denomination circles on both sides and bold text reading "Control del Talon – Año 1908". These stamps were used for patents, direct contributions, and official guides, serving as fiscal controls to remain in the revenue office (“Que queda en la oficina recaudadora”). It includes a serial number at the top (006895) for tracking purposes, and this example bears a purple cancellation mark, signifying its official use. Such fiscal issues are valued for their historical connection to Mexico’s early 20th-century tax system.
